Last night before I and Mitch go to bed i set my pc to download Warrock. And for the love of god of computers, The monitor turns crimson red ~.~ well, she always do that now and then but last night was different even if i kick the side of the monitor it cant go back to her right color. I was desperate so i punch the sides maybe 30 times but to no avail so i go to bed frustrated.
When i woke up i escorted mitch to the bus stop because she had to go to work. Then i pick my choices on what to do. after i got home i research a bit on why my monitor is turning red. and i found out that the red pin (the one that controls the red color on RGB pins) is not functioning properly anymore and its a symptoms of a dying monitor. how sad
- Tell my mother about it so that she can buy a new one for us~
- Go to kuya boyet’s shop to buy his old stock monitors
- i go keep punchin and kicking this bloody monitor until the right color come back
- blame my siblings for putting their sodding cell phone near this dying monitor
or lastly open this thing up and do a major operation and try to stabilize her.
If i were you what will you choose? i am a risky type of a person so i choosed to do an operation instead. and heres what i did.
*after i open her up, i borrow my sisters phone and take pictures to document the whole procedure.
Pic #1: Before, i used to tap the side of my monitor if it turns red so i figure this area is the culprit. (though i have no idea of what am i doing ~.~)
<- that circled area is the culprit. because when i tap it (ofcourse, im using a non conducting material to not to kill myself lol.) the color display is changing from red to normal.
So i examined it more to found out what exactly is wrong there.
<- this circled side is halfway open when i realized it so i put it back close then amazingly, the color is stabilizing.
i close it up to test the picture tube. if all goes well the red color should not be appearing anymore. after a few minutes that crimson thing goes back again. dammet. so i go back to my imaginitive drawing board to plan my next move.
<- what i did is place a non-conducting string on that circled hole to pull it whenever the monitor goes Red. and lo and behold. after i pack it up and i try to open my pc. that red color goes back, and i pull that magical string, and *puff* the color stabilize~
whats bothering me is how long can my monitor hold on. On that quick fix. i dunno if it a Smart move or just plain stupidity. XD
Other news: Im planning to join RF’s music contest. ive got a riff and lyrics in my mind, i hoping i could pull that of~ hoho. and im planning to post here my Fantasy poorly-illustrative Novel, Makroga Zone~ its about a normal boy who sucked himself to a time and space portal and goes off to that massive time and space dimension, Makroga.
w00t~ you fixed your monitor! *hugs* galing talaga ng bebu ko (kahit ang sungit mo kanina!) hehe!
My screen has never done that. usually it’s just the BSOD.
I would have just bought a new monitor if mine kept doing that.
You Still planning to play warrock? I hear it’s not that fun, too many 3rd Party Program Users (Raining Grenades and stuff).
Good Luck on the RF Music Contest then. 頑張って!
@ bebu *hugs* ndi aku masungit noh
